FEBRUARY 4, 1960 – APRIL 16, 2018

Jeffrey Jay GOLZ Passed away peacefully April 16, 2018 at the age of 58. Loving father of Elaine (Brian Lake) Golz, Rachel (Stephen) Maxwell, and Natalie Golz. Dear son of Harvey and Betty Golz. Brother to Janet (Darrell) Baier. Celebration of Life Services took place on Saturday April 21, 2018 at Holick Craciun Funeral Home in Westlake, OH.

In addition to his illustrious career as an athlete, Jeff was a tireless contributor to the speed skating community at the local, national, and international level and served on the ASU Foundation Board of Directors.  Jeff took great pride in everything he did.  He was always there when help was needed with anything he was involved with or asked to do.  Jeff volunteered a lot of his time at various local and regional competitions along the East Coast and Midwest.  Jeff was an ISU Level 5 starter whose last assignment was at the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Montreal, Canada in March 2018.

Those of us who knew him surely have many great memories of Jeff.  Jeff left us far too soon.  He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace dear friend!  The family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the American Kidney Fund or United States Speedskating.
